Favorite photos from an evening stroll:
This week in “J visits parks and hopes one day that this blog will be able to fund said trips as well as her National Parks annual pass,” I take a trip to the National Arboretum.
In contrast to the southern California adventure posts I’ve been doing lately, I thought I’d talk about a wetland park in Alexandria, Virginia. Be sure to stop by next time you are in the area for some bird-watching, beaver-befriending, and general tortoise-loving.
In my last adventure post, I spent quite a bit of time discussing place and its import to me as a writer. I’d like to take some time now to celebrate a place that proved to be essential to me during my time in LA, both as a writer and as a human being trying to find some sense of stability: the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
From skeleton hand hair clips to fancy water kettles. We’ve got you covered.
This past weekend was my last in Los Angeles and I decided to spend my final Sunday in Southern California (for now, at least) at Joshua Tree National Park. I’d never been before and it seemed I would be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t seize the opportunity now.
